A 6-week course that provides participants with the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities for the safe and efficient operation of specific pieces of heavy construction equipment and in preventative maintenance. Training is currently available on the following types of heavy equipment: backhoe, bulldozer, excavator, rubber tired loader, skid steer and a vibratory roller. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will gain certification through the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER). WIA funding is available where applicable.
